About our seasonal coloring pages
This collection holds the pages that belong to a time of year rather than a holiday: snowmen and snowflakes for winter, and fall leaves and scarecrows for autumn. For a bigger set, the fall, winter, spring and summer pages pull in every seasonal design across the site, from pumpkins and owls to butterflies and beach scenes. Each page comes at four levels: Easy for ages 3–5, Medium for 6–8, Hard for 9+ and Expert for teens and adults.
Seasonal coloring pages are an easy way to mark the calendar in a classroom. Swap the pages on a bulletin board at the start of each season, or use them as morning work during a weather unit: ask students what changes they notice outside, then color a page that matches.
Quick tips
- Refresh a bulletin board with newly colored pages at the start of each season.
- Color snowflakes with cool blues and a silver gel pen for a frosty look.
- Collect real fall leaves to match colors before coloring the leaf pages.
Seasonal Coloring Pages: questions and answers
When does each season start?
In the Northern Hemisphere, astronomical seasons begin around March 20 (spring), June 20–21 (summer), September 22–23 (fall) and December 21–22 (winter). Meteorologists use simpler dates: March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1. In the Southern Hemisphere, the seasons are reversed.
How is this page different from the fall, winter, spring and summer pages?
This page holds the subjects that are about a season itself: snowmen, snowflakes, fall leaves and scarecrows. The four season pages go wider and gather every design tagged for that time of year, including animals, holidays and food, so use them when you want a bigger themed set.
How can teachers use seasonal pages through the year?
Print a small pack at the start of each season for morning work, early finishers and indoor recess. Mix Easy and Hard versions so every student has a page at the right level, and rotate a bulletin board display each time the season changes.
