Axolotl Coloring Pages
Axolotls are a gift to a coloring page — that permanent smile, the feathery external gills, and a body shape simple enough to draw in a few strokes. The easy designs isolate the animal; the detailed ones drop it into a planted tank.

About these axolotl designs
In the Easy section the axolotl is one wide shape with three frills on each side of the head and two dot eyes. It is a good page for anyone who wants a recognizable animal without much work.
The detailed axolotl designs fill the page with water plants, bubbles, pebbles, and gill texture. Those pages take a while and reward a wider set of colors than the usual pink.
Good moments to print one

Axolotl coloring page questions
What color should an axolotl be?
The best-known axolotls are pale pink with darker pink gills, but wild ones are brown, gray, or almost black, and there are golden and white varieties too. The line art works with any of them.
Is the axolotl page hard to color?
It depends on the level. The Easy designs are among the simplest on the site. The Expert ones are full underwater scenes with a lot of small shapes.
Are there other water animal pages?
The mermaid collection shares the same underwater setting, and several unicorn Expert designs are drawn underwater too.
Do I need special paper?
Ordinary printer paper is fine for crayons and pencils. If you plan to use markers, slide a spare sheet underneath so the ink does not mark the table.
